We recently were looking at what size returns were required to allow our aluminium pelmet be used over a double roller blind. This is very rarely requested, and so thought we should share with you the measurements.
Our measurements are based upon using a Uniline double bracket, however it would be almost identical to the Acmeda double bracket system as the projections are very similar (Uniline 115mm, Acmeda 120mm).
Our 130mm pelmet face completely covers both blinds quite easily. We create a special bracket that accommodates the pelmet. We could probably reduce the return slightly than the picture shows to 150mm.
So, in summary, our return sizes for double brackets would be
- 160mm face fit on an architrave with returns back to the wall
- 150mm face fit without architraves with returns back to the wall
